Hailing from the Bronzeville neighborhood on the Southside of Chicago, nombreKARI channels his experiences into a genre-fluid sound that has perked ears throughout the city’s underground hip-hop scene for the past half decade. Since he started performing at the young age of 16, nombreKARI has continuously developed his lyrical and musical identity, drawing upon the traditional influences of Chicago’s long line of world-class MCs while offering an invigoratingly fresh approach rooted in a deep appreciation of music history and desire to develop a holistic, unforgettable discography. – Zach Smith, Independent
