Anthony Gallery is pleased to announce “The Places We Built”, a solo exhibition featuring new works by Andrew Park. An opening is slated for Thursday, May 23rd, and the exhibition will remain on view in Gallery Room One alongside “Looks Can Be Deceiving” in Gallery Room Two through June 22nd.
Central to Andrew Park’s (@andrewjpark) practice is the compressed, widely shared digital content dominating today’s internet. These images prioritize accessibility over technical quality, challenging elitist value systems and further democratizing visual culture. “The Places We Built” considers the emotional accessibility of digital content, focusing on familiar subjects to structure a collective Korean-American reality.
