Join Tech Workers for Palestine for our first teach-in in our “So You Wanna Engineer Liberation?” series! Using Shotspotter as a case study, we’ll grapple with how to put our varied access and skills as tech workers to use to counter imperialist tech projects along with some common pitfalls in first attempts at liberatory engineering.
If you’re an activist or politically radical but not sure how to bring tech skills to bear in the fight, or if you find yourself thinking of these companies as black-box monoliths turning money into oppressive tech, this is for you!In addition, keep an eye out for the next teach-in in the series, where we’ll really dive in on best practices for how to collaborate with & support existing groups working to bring down imperialist and colonial tech projects!
