Disabling Utopia is a photo series that showcases people with disabilities channeling alter egos inside miniature dioramas that are representations of their utopia. In conjunction to the photo series, there is also a video component that documents conversations exploring ideas around disability identity and imagining a disabled utopia.
This is by far the most meaningful body of work I’ve made yet. Creating space for other people with disabilities and engaging in such vulnerable and critical conversations around disability identity has impacted me so deeply. I’m looking forward to sharing this work with you all. Hope to see you there!
Please add your access needs in your registration. This even will be masked except when actively eating or drinking. There will be an option for outdoor eating/drinking, but it is off an alley (not the most aesthetic!).
