Reading & performance event, co-hosted & co-curated by Carolina Chauffe, showcases queer writers who all have roots in the south:

Carter St. Hogan, a Texas-based creative force, is passing through the midwest on their book tour for his recently published debut with 11:11 press: the genre-bending, “queer, strange, grotesque” fiction collection ‘One or Several Deserts’

Jessie McCarty is a Chicago-based poet, documentarian, and cataloger; author of “The Bovine Huff” – nominated Best New Poetry Book and Best New Poet in the Chicago Reader (3rd, 2022). Their upcoming work “Louisiana Folk Songs” is set to release July 2023.

Margo O’Connell is a Chicago-based writer & multi-disciplinary artist whose sexy-holy-sad-sweet poetry chapbook “Angel’s Share” will be released on May 25.
