Purple Window Gallery is inside MANA Contemporary Chicago, 2233 S. Throop St. Room 845, Chicago, IL 60608. The entrance is on the East side of the building. It is accessible by the #21 #60 and #9 buses, or by walking from the Cermak-Chinatown Red Line stop.

Sarah Dupré is an abstract artist who grew up in South Central Louisiana and moved to Illinois in 2015. She has taught painting and drawing at McHenry County College and Elgin Community College. Dupré received her BFA from McNeese State University, Lake Charles, Louisiana (2015) and her MFA from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois (2018). Sarah’s practice explores the relationship between drawing and painting by using graphite, oils, house paint, acrylics, and pastels to create her work. Dupré’s work was most recently exhibited in New American Paintings, No. 155, Midwest Issue, at Oliva Gallery, Chicago, BOCCARA Art Gallery, Miami, and at Cleaner Gallery + Projects, Chicago, Illinois.

Nico Rizzo was born in Oakland, California on October 11, 1992. His father, Patricio is an Argentine born, American painter who came to the United States and began painting during the Dirty War. Patricio is a Spanish teacher. Nico’s mother is a professor of Latin American History. At a young age, the artist learned to appreciate drawing and writing. Nico began painting in 2017. He has designed and screen-printed a t-shirt graphic for the screen-printing brand, Nimbus Prints in December 2017. He has exhibited at Rubberneck Gallery (Chicago June 2018) Happy Gallery (Chicago August 2019,) and Purple Window Gallery (September 2022). The artist released a Skateboard deck in May 2021 with the Canadian skateboard company Studio, and a skateboard deck with Postcard in June 2022. Nico has a B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Arizona (2014) and would like to pursue a future in art/alternative therapy while contributing to alternative design, printmaking, sculpture, fashion, curating, and especially drawing and painting.
