About the FESTIVAL
The National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture is organizing the 19th edition of its signature festival called BARRIO ARTS FEST! This yearly summer event brings together a selection of local artists and craft makers, food vendors, dancers, and music performers and family workshop activities for the community to enjoy. During the weekend of July 13th and 14th, the museum will turn into a family gathering space that extends through the museum premises, including the museum facility keeping the galleries open as well. Come for a weekend of local talent in a family friendly environment!

FESTIVAL HOURS: Saturday, July 13, 2019 10am-6pm and Sunday, July 14, 2019 11am-5pm.
About the MUSEUM
The National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture is a cultural and educational institution devoted to the promotion, integration and advancement of Puerto Rican arts and culture by presenting exhibitions and programming created to enhance the visibility and importance of the Puerto Rican traditions. Located in Humboldt Park, in the heart of Chicago’s Puerto Rican community, NMPRAC is the only self-standing cultural museum in the nation devoted to showcasing Puerto Rican arts, culture and historic exhibitions year-round.
