Buzz the Rainbow
@ The Condo Association
2700 W North Ave, Chicago, IL 60647
Opening Sunday, February 25th, from 5PM - 9PM
The Condo Association presents Buzz the Rainbow, a hair happening!
To benefit Project Fierce Chicago, a grassroots response to LGBTQ youth homelessness, Joseph Hoffmeier, and Bang! Hair Salon will be buzzing, and doing multi-colored hair dye jobs, for free to any guests from the public, including you! Don’t want to get your hair buzzed and colored? Then feel free to enjoy a suggested donation bar offering a wide variety of elixars and potions. 100% of proceeds will go to support Project Fierce.
Project Fierce Chicago needs your support to complete the renovation of a recently acquired property that will provide transitional housing for LGTQ, primarily transgendered youth, by late winter/ early spring. On May 30th, Project Fierce Chicago launched 100k to Home Capital Campaign, with the goal of raising $100,000 by September 1st. 100% of funds raised will go towards the renovation of the shelter. Since the purchase of the house, PFC has been working diligently to begin the first phase of renovation.
And while you’re here… check out Cats Cradle, an exhibition of textile and textile-adjacent works curated by John Harness, who said, “Did you know that the earliest textiles are made from various naturally-occurring, non-processed fibers, such as leaves and animal, even human, hair? CUZ IT IS THE GODDAMNED TRUTH YO TEXTILES FOREVER.”
