Join the VGA Gallery in celebrating the inaugural issue of the Video Game Art Reader (VGAR), a scholarly, peer-reviewed, and open-access publication for those interested in the history, theory, and criticism of video games explored through the lens of art history and visual culture.
VGA Gallery co-founders Chaz Evans and Jonathan Kinkley and the VGAR team will be on hand to mingle and discuss the genesis of the publication and its contributions to the field of game studies. Also in attendance will be the VGAR editorial board and many fellow lovers of art and game scholarship. Remarks by Editor-in-chief Tiffany Funk and Managing Editor Mick Reed will be followed by a light brunch and champagne. Hard copies of VGAR’s inaugural issue will be available for purchase during the event.
