Please join Prison + Neighborhood Arts Project (PNAP), faculty, families, and special guests for a closing celebration of the work of students from the PNAP art course at Stateville Correctional Center. Event activities include a screening of the PNAP mini-documentary “One Day a Week,” a walk-through of the exhibition installation, interaction with works on view, public reading of student writings, and open discussion about PNAPs work inside and outside the prison.

Presented in conjuction with the installation by Andres L. Hernandez, Faculty SAIC Department of Art Education, in the current exhibition “Faculty Projects.”

Light refreshments will be provided.

Also, join us every Wednesday from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. in the exhibition to interact with the “Survival Kits” and discuss the unique personal and institutional circumstances that led to their creation.
