Max Guy Artist Talk 1:00pm
Max Guy will discuss time, entropy and the aesthetic interests that informed his pieces. He has worked in collage, print, photography and installation to contemplate existence within a society of mass mediation and technology. Max will also address the art work of Ellsworth Kelly, Rammellzee, Henri Matisse and Japan’s Edo period in the context of his own work and day to day experiences.
Erin Hayden in Conversation with Danny Snelson 2:00pm
Erin Hayden will discuss her work with Danny Snelson, Mellon postdoc in the Digital Humanities, jointly appointed in the Kaplan Humanities Institute and the English Department. They will discuss the intersections of their artistic research and complexities of the digital mediums as tools for source material as well as being spaces for art and poetry to exist.
