Students will display collaboratively-produced furniture and designed objects that re-think traditional ways of living and working, celebrating and re-invigorating appreciation for the ad-hoc.

The second is a seminar instructed by Bridgette Buckley that investigates the meaning of permanence in design through a series of interrelated thematic nodes, from memory to entropy. Participating industrial and graphic design students will display re-imagined household objects that convey the various themes of permanence, as well as posters that continue to re-think their meanings.

The two courses work, in juxtaposition, reveals a sharp shared focus on re-sponding to historical context, re-freshing the outmoded, and re-orienting toward meaningful design practices for the individual and collective.

The post RE:WORK first appeared on The Visualist.

<post-id xmlns="com-wordpress:feed-additions:1">169055</post-id>
