The eye is naturally drawn to things that sparkle, reflect, and glow. The artists of Bridgeport, Chicago-based Project Onward are known for embellishing their large and small works with shiny, metallic material. For this latest exhibition Shine On; they showcase their unique ways of depicting light and illumination. The exhibition features artists Paul Kowalewski, George Zuniga, Molly McGrath, RJ and Janno Juguilon, Sereno ‘Glitter Man’ Wilson, Jacqueline Cousins Oliva, and more. Art is priced for sale between $50 and $800.

Project Onward is a nonprofit studio and gallery founded to support the career development of outsider artists with mental and developmental disabilities. Currently, it supports the work of 40 visual Chicago artists by providing them the opportunity to create their work in a safe, supportive studio environment.

The program provides these artists with workspace, materials, professional guidance, exhibition opportunities and access to markets to sell their work and advance their careers.

The post SHINE ON: A Virtual, Project Onward Art Exhibit first appeared on The Visualist.
