About Villapalooza

Founded in 2011, Villapalooza is one of Chicago’s most popular, diverse, and fastest growing grassroots music festivals. Entering its 8th year, Villapalooza is expected to attract more than 40,000 attendees as it returns to 26th street across five city blocks and the main corridor of the Midwest’s largest Mexican community. The Little Village community is home to over 80,000 residents, an estimated 40,000 (50%) who are under the age of 25, and 24,000 (30%) who are under the age of 18. Villapalooza programming continually seeks ways of engaging this young and energized population through the arts and in their own community. Villapalooza is produced entirely by volunteers, community organizers, educators, artists, and youth.
