We take a walk along the shore. A drowned duck stops me on
my tracks, its wet feathers glistening while:
While mirroring a summer in the city
Her naked toe wiggles in the sand, a buried sandcastle.
We agree –the place seems fitting- and light up the coils. We shall feast and whisper.
Chh chh-chh, uh, chh
chh-chh, uh
Chh chh-chh, uh, chh
chh-chh, uh
Chh chh-chh, uh, chh

We observe the distance between the commensal and its plate, of the hand that gives and the hand that takes. How is it on either end? The exhibition ultimately explores the difficulties of maintaining a legitimately critical praxis while acting within structures that endorse precisely that which is being evaluated. A seasonal arrangement of sorts amidst: public infrastructure, fun in the sand and personal historicity expressed through food.
