Opening Sunday, May 13th, from 1PM - 2PM
On view through Sunday, June 17th
Judith Russi Kirshner offers insight into the scope and depth of Richard Rezac’s sculptural practice in this rich introduction to the artist’s work followed by a tour of his exhibition, Address. An art historian and curator who has known the artist since his arrival in Chicago in the 1980s, Kirshner also touches on Rezac’s influences in the realm of architecture and the ways he responds to the space at the Renaissance Society.
This event will begin in the Film Studies Center on the 3rd floor of Cobb Hall (directly below the Renaissance Society) and conclude in the gallery. It is free and open to the public.
Kirshner lectures frequently on contemporary art and was most recently the Deputy Director of Education at the Art Institute of Chicago.
