Please join us at the 11th annual Art History Symposium. Our event celebrates the culmination of senior students’ original theses. Following the symposium will be a reception in honor of the students, and this year’s winner of the “Golden Carousel: the Hollis Sigler Manifest Prize in Art History and Visual Culture” will be announced. The reception will be at 5:00pm in the Resource Center on the 4th floor of 623 S Wabash Ave.

Students Presenting:

Clarissa Chevalier is a senior at Columbia College Chicago and will begin a graduate program in Art History at the Savannah College of Art and Design in fall of 2018.

Isaiah Bertagnolli will graduate with a BA in Art History and begin graduate studies at the University of Chicago in fall of 2018.

Emily Gallaugher is a research assistant for the Glass Curtain Gallery and senior Art History student interested in the intersections of contemporary art, politics, and museum education.

Willow Gritzmaker is an Art History major currently researching the intersection of art and politics in the paintings of Frederic Remington.

An intern at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers in Chicago, Eliza Jorie Spogis has worked in the Curatorial Department at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, attended the Courtauld Institute of Art in London, and will graduate with a BA in both Art History and Visual Arts Management.

Camille Woerner has experience in nonprofit arts program development, exhibitor relations at EXPO Chicago, and will graduate with a BA in Visual Arts Management and a minor in Art History.
