Associate Professor of Art Tracy Marie Taylor’s sabbatical leave coincided with the birth of her first child. This exhibition is the result of the confluence of these two major life events.
This exhibit will feature the following pieces:
“Sleep Regression,” a series of paintings that were made while her newborn son was napping. The images are derived from surveillance footage taken from his baby monitor.
“The Shape of Your Sound,” sculptures that were created based upon audio recordings of her newborn son’s cries.
