Gallery 400 at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Threewalls announce the seventh year of Propeller Fund granting opportunities for visual artists and groups in Cook County, IL.
Application Deadline: August 1, 2016
Propeller Fund awards $50,000 per year to artists and groups for collaborative, public-oriented projects that are independent and self-organized.
Propeller Fund Application Workshop

1-3pm | Applying to Propeller
Introduction to and tips on writing a compelling proposal, budgeting, navigating the online system, and juror’s point of view. Presenters include previous Propeller Fund awardees and jurors.
3-4pm | Applicant Meet-Ups
Focused sessions with Propeller grantees and staff on specialized topics:
*Websites + Publications with Kate Sierzputowski (Inside/Within)
*Partnering with Communities with Meida McNeal (Honey Pot Performance)
*Programming in Public Spaces with Carron Little (Out of Site)
*Producing Media Projects with Kera McKenzie (ACRE TV)
4pm | Keynote by Aymar Jean Christian (Open TV) in conversation with Ricardo Gamboa (BRUJOS)
These programs are free and open to all.
