No Coast presents “Spectral,” the second of three installments in our subscription service for affordable artists’ multiples, bringing the work of emerging and mid-career artists within reach of art enthusiasts, amateur collectors, and connoisseurs alike. “Spectral” features the work of three artists who are variously engaged with vibrant colors and textures as relating to visual pleasure, chromatic overload, intangible presence, and expressions/investigations of identity.
No Coast (Aay Preston-Myint and Alexander Valentine) is a Chicago-based, collaborative, print-focused venture which has taken several different forms since our founding in 2008 – we have been a studio, bookstore, venue, gallery, and master printer for artists. No Coast’s current project is No Coast Editions, an affordable, subscription-style collection of artworks released seasonally. No Coast is invested in alternative methods and markets for publishing, printmaking, and the creation of artists’ multiples. Our processes investigate the ownership and authorship of art through experiments in collaboration, modes of distribution, and display.
