W. J. T. Mitchell, editor of Critical Inquiry and Professor of English and Art History at the University of Chicago

Professor Mitchell will connect artistic concerns of the 1930s to present-day artistic practices, specifically the relations between art and activism.

CONVERSATION WITH EXHIBITION CURATORS
W. J. T. Mitchell and curators John Murphy and Jill Bugajski (The Left Front: Radical Art in the “Red Decade,” 1929-1940) and Elliot Reichert (Steichen|Warhol: Picturing Fame)

PERFORMANCES
Throughout the Block all afternoon by Northwestern University students, in collaboration with Professor D. Soyini Madison, Chair, Department of Performance Studies, Northwestern University.
