Cassie Riger
@ Kaplan A.I.R. Studio
Kresge Hall, Rm. 1410, 1880 Campus Drive, Evanston IL 60208
On view through Saturday, November 23rd
Cassie Riger will present Early Influences, a series of moving image works. Riger’s deskilled constructions deploy ridiculously obtuse video techniques. These rickety analogs for effects such as “motion” or “layering”—effects that are now standards in software manipulation—work through or “perform” sticking points in cinema history, spectacle, and affect.
Open to the public Saturdays 12 – 5pm or by Appointment.
