STA – SAIC’s IN/STUDIO is a design show that presents the work of young designers and creatives from SAIC.
We seek to show work that addresses the question of design as a living practice rather than a preset career path, thus presenting systems of experimentation and drawing from multiple influences and materials. As a result, we feel that today’s young creatives have sought to alter the definition of design itself, without degrading its integrity or authenticity. It is no longer about following a formula, but exploring these formulas from every perspective available through new mediums and messages.
IN/STUDIO will hold an opening reception on Friday,
October 11 from 7 to 10 PM.
This exhibition is kindly hosted by Rational Park,
at 2557 West North Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.
