Clemens Klinkert: Transcending Space

Clemens Klinkert (MFA 2014) creates the sensation of a boundless, contemplative space through shifts in scale and gravity. Erratic painted lines covering all surfaces transform and expand the gallery into an inhabitable meditative field. Juxtaposing his indoor mural with geometric paintings, Klinkert constructs a charged visual environment that explores the artist’s ability to invoke a phenomenological presence through painting.
