Ashley Bradley and Alanna Huck-Scarry: Passing Over, Passing On

@ Dragonfly Gallery

2436 W Madison St, Chicago, IL, 60612

Opening Friday, November 6th, from 6PM - 10PM

On view through Sunday, November 29th

In Passing Over, Passing On, artists Ashley Bradley and Alanna Huck-Scarry consider the ways
in which attention to local flora can construct narratives of belonging, purpose, and home. From

the shores of Lake Michigan to tallgrass prairies of Illinois (and beyond), Bradley and Huck-
Scarry translate Midwest flora into subject matter– both conceptually and materially– through

woven forms, natural dye paintings, and sculptures. Through these explorations, a newfound
sense of place emerges, bridging time and space.
