Opening Sunday, October 18th, from 2PM - 5PM
On view through Sunday, November 29th
Join us for our upcoming Spotlight Exhibition featuring olivier, an artist, cataloguer, and pessimist whose practice explores language, rearrangement, translation, and “languaging.”
Sunday, October 18, 2026
Opening Reception: 2 PM
Lecture-performance: 3 PM
Working across sculpture, collage, drawing, photography, publications, prints, and performance, olivier creates site-responsive works where texts become objects: shifting, repeating, folding, overlapping, and referencing one another.
At the center of their practice is the idea of a “playground,” where rearrangement becomes a way of rereading. As olivier puts it: “I don’t want comprehension; I want parallel play.”
Born and raised in British Hong Kong, olivier has exhibited in Chicago and internationally and is the founder of the experimental UFO archive The UFO Lobby.
Join us on October 18 for an afternoon of rereading, rearranging, and languaging.
