Apocalypse Drawings brings together 150+ drawings by thirty-five artists, guest-curated by Mary Amelia and Parker Davis. Drawing has much to do with the topic of apocalyptic revelation: as the once-burdensome “near future” is hollowed out, we can finally focus on the “continuous present” and the “inevitable apocalypse.”
Includes original Amy and Jordan strips and paintings by Mark Beyer, Jacob Ciocci of Paper Rad, Jim Tozzi of PFFR, Mike Diana, Noel Freibert, Frédéric Fleury, June Gutman, Denver Ferguson, Redbugslove and many others.
The full sale price of all Mark Beyer works sold will be donated to Beyer’s healthcare fund, thanks to Mark Beyer and James Lawrence
Opening reception Saturday, September 26, 6 pm to late. On view through Nov 6th at Mavra, 5338 W Lawrence Ave, Chicago. Thursday–Sunday, noon–6 pm, and by appointment.
