crosswalk is proud to announce, πππ«ππ π°ππ§πππ‘, a group exhibition, celebrating the one year anniversary of crosswalk. Baragwanath opens with a reception on 9.19.26 from 6-9pm at 1856 N Richmond St, Chicago, IL 60647. The exhibition will run through 10.9.26.
On April 15th 1890, the City of Chicago issued a permit for $4.00 to H. W. Baragwanath for the land that 1856 N Richmond St. would be later built on. Records of who H.W. Baragwanath could be only point in one direction according to Chicago directories; to William Baragwanath, a boilermaker. When construction began on β1856β, no records existed of an architect and none would. The framework began with Baragwanath as both the architect and builder.
Artists; Trey Rozell, Liang Yu Huang, Drew Michael Dzurko, Charlotte Saylor, and Indigo Conat-Naar will be showcased in, πππ«ππ π°ππ§πππ‘. Work exhibited in πππ«ππ π°ππ§πππ‘, represents the act of construction, both the literal motifs and as a representation.
