Dive into a creative chat with Aleksandra Kędziorek and Jeff Carter about how architecture and nature mix and shape our spaces.

Please join curator Aleksandra Kędziorek, Jackman Goldwasser Resident, and artist Jeff Carter for a conversation exploring how time shapes architectural memory through the reintroduction of lost ecologies and history.

Kędziorek will present Nenúfars, a collaboration with design collective CENTRALA.The project reintroduced aquatic plants to the iconic pool of the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion in Barcelona – a discontinued aspect of the Pavilion’s original 1929 design.

Carter will present research informing The Singer Pavilion Project, his solo exhibition at the Hyde Park Art Center, focusing on the Singer Pavilion’s Modernist landscape design by Hideo Sasaki, its destruction and abandonment, and current state of wild regrowth.

This program is presented as part of Chicago Exhibition Week.
