crosswalk is proud to announce, π±π³π°π€π¦π΄π΄πͺπ―π¨, a solo by Mike Saechao, βBird Mikeβ. π±π³π°π€π¦π΄π΄πͺπ―π¨ serves as Saechaoβs debut Chicago solo exhibition.
In π±π³π°π€π¦π΄π΄πͺπ―π¨, Saechao, dives into a limerence state by abstracting the everyday, transforming the common object into a project for emotional exploration.
Through the intricate patterns of a beloved couch, Saechao uncovers a cathartic release, weaving personal narratives within the fabricβs design.
This collection of work serves as a reflection on the complexities of interpersonal connections, manifesting as journals of healing.
Saechao states this body of work is the start of its unveiling, βThough healing isnβt linear, this feels like a step in the right direction.β
Saechao hails from Sacramento, California, currently residing in Chicago.
Saechao graduated with a BFA in Studio Art, specializing in Painting and Drawing, from California State University-Sacramento in 2023.
