Shelly Expose is Karkazisโ ongoing project exploring parasocial intimacy, mediated voice, and the haunting tension between the audience and performer. Glitchy electronic R&B collides with ghostly vocal confession, where reverberant truths unravel over syncopated electronic drum patterns.
Presented on the occasion of the forthcoming exhibition ๐๐พ๐๐๐ ๐ป๐ถ๐๐๐๐๐พ๐๐, this 30-min performance resonates with the showโs larger concerns: the undoing of teleology, the failure and substitution of systems, and the poetics of arrested innovation. Karkazisโ set extends these themes into an embodied sonic register, setting the stage for the exhibition to follow.
Anastasia Sif Karkazis is an artist, filmmaker, and composer based between London and Copenhagen. Her practice spans video making, generative sound, synthetic voice, and performance, examining confession, authorship, and mediated intimacy. She recently released her first EP Warning as Shelly Expose
