D-Composed & Allison Loggins-Hull | Remix as Ritual: Sound, Space, and Story
@ The Land School
1353 E 72nd St Chicago, IL 60619
Opening Friday, September 19th, from 6:30PM - 7:30PM
Join Theaster Gates and Rebuild Foundation at The Land School as they launch their creative partner programming with D-Composed, one of the School’s inaugural residents.
Remix as Ritual | Sound, Space, and Story brings together composer–flutist Allison Loggins-Hull and D-Composed in a program weaving flute, string quartet, electronics, and media to explore remix as reclamation, resistance, and renewal. Together, they’ll invite audiences to consider how sound, history, and place can be transformed into something new.
This fall, D-Composed was named one of the inaugural creative partners-in-residence at The Land School, Rebuild’s newest space-based project and a platform for pedagogy and process that proposes a radical model of artistic experimentation and archival stewardship.
