Kermit Berg: Article 1: Human Dignity Shall Be Inviolable
@ SoNa Chicago Contemporary Art
1527 N Ashland Ave, Chicago, IL 60622
Opening Friday, April 11th, from 5PM - 8PM
On view through Saturday, May 17th
Join us at SoNa Chicago Contemporary Art on International Women’s Day to hear two wonderful artists Pinar Aral and Mirentxu Ganzarain, currently featured in the exhibition Unearthing. The show is named Unearthing in part because both women view their ceramics practice as a process of unearthing feelings, meaning, and how the clay itself will transform in their hands. Aral describes working with the clay as a process of grounding; it is like a meditation for her. Ganzarain feels the same about the work. She adds, “As you are working with the clay, as you are connecting with the material, it is speaking back to you.” Come hear more from the artists in a conversation moderated by Molly O’Donnell and view the wonderful artwork in the gallery.
