Join Art/Work as we take a step into another realm and experience UNAROUSED UNAMUSED’s ‘Handling My Demons’ painting series. For the first time, see the full 12-piece series in person and revel in the artist’s demons for yourself. Also, take a sneak peek at several unreleased paintings from UNAROUSED UNAMUSED’s next series as he continues humanizing his demons.
UNAROUSED UNAMUSED is a Pakistani-American interdisciplinary artist whose work is centered on the idea of defeating the echoing notions of normalcy and conventionalism belabored by modern media, inundated cultural ennui & concepts of originality. He uses his art as a method to liberate himself from the constraints imposed by contemporary social and cultural norms to create a representation of himself in media that other disparate communities can identify with & use as fodder to speak their truths.
Take part in this unique opportunity to honor our demons and experience first-hand how the artist honors and handles his own.
Accessibility: The space has a large elevator and wide hallways to accommodate wheelchairs and other mobility assistants. There are some uneven surfaces throughout the building but it is still wheelchair accessible. There are 4 gender-neutral ADA-accessible bathrooms in the building.
