One Night Stand: Charles Williams
@ Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art
Online
Opening Wednesday, May 25th, from 6:30PM - 7PM
Join Intuit for One Night Stand, a free series of art talks that focus on individual works of art from the museum’s collections and exhibitions. This month, Guest Services Associate Joshua Willis will engage attendees in a conversation about artist Charles Williams and his piece Untitled (Spaceship).
Closed captions will be available at the virtual program. Please contact Lindsey Wurz at lindsey@art.org with questions related to accessibility accommodations.
One Night Stand is free to join! To show your support to Intuit, please consider the pay-what-you-can option when you complete your reservation. Your contributions help ensure the sustainability of our public programs and support guest lecturers and teaching artists.
Two hours before the event, Intuit will email the Zoom link to those who RSVP on Eventbrite. Please check your junk folder; unfortunately, these emails are sent there sometimes.
One Night Stand is funded in part by the Alphawood Foundation, the Department of Cultural Affairs, Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation, Illinois Arts Council Agency, Illinois Humanities, National Endowment for the Arts, Prince Charitable Trust, Terra Foundation for American Art, and individual donations from Intuit members and supporters.
Meet Joshua Willis
Joshua Willis received his bachelor’s degree in art history from Berry College in 2016. Growing up in rural Georgia surrounded by folk and outsider art, he developed a passion for self-taught art at a young age, eventually specializing in the genre in college. Joshua first joined Intuit in 2018 as an intern and member of the Young Professionals Board. He is excited to share the power of outsider art with audiences at one of the premier museums of its kind in the world
