Join the MoCP and photographer Jeffrey A. Wolin for a discussion on his work and a virtual sneak peek into his studio. Wolin creates confrontational portraits about memory and identity, often writing narratives or excerpts to interviews with his subjects onto the surface of his photographs. Working over several decades, his collective works comprise a variety of subjects, including stories of Holocaust survivors, Vietnam War veterans, and families living in a public housing development near his former home in Indiana.

Wolin’s photographs have been exhibited in over 100 exhibitions in the US and Europe. His work is featured in six monographs, including Written in Memory: Portraits of the HolocaustInconvenient Stories: Vietnam War Veterans; and Pigeon Hill: Then & Now. This discussion is in conjunction with an exhibition featuring Wolin’s Faces of Homelessness project, on view at the Catherine Edelman Gallery, Chicago.
