Belong Gallery is pleased to announce Composition, a solo exhibition by Zachary MacTavish. The exhibition chronicles the artist’s recent journey and experiences of living in NYC and moving to Portland, Oregon. For the artist, utilizing a theme of composition notebooks serves as a journal for reflecting on different environments over the span of 3 years. Each piece evokes a feeling through the use of color and shapes. Similar to an author developing their characters for a story, the work is an accumulation of the artist’s progression and personal growth. This exhibition encourages all viewers to pursue the ideas they formulate in their thoughts, journals, or sketchbooks.
The opening reception will be held on July 9 from 7-10 PM. You can make a reservation through the link in our bio or you can walk-in.
