Title: “American History: Through A Tourist’s Lens”
On this date, Margeaux Rocco (’23, Undecided, minor in Art Theory and Practice) & Joely Simon (’21, Journalism, minor in Art History, Integrated Marketing Communications Certificate), will be discussing Mocha Standard, 1969 by Edward Ruscha (American, born 1937) and Mt Rushmore, South Dakota from the Expeditionary Self-Portrait Series, 1986 by Tseng Kwong Chi (Canadian, born Hong Kong 1950–1990).
Description: This talk will explore American history through the eyes of Ed Ruscha’s and Tseng Kwong Chi’s location-based works.
