How to Hang Artwork

Do you want to learn how to install your own artwork? Learn the basics of art installation with Jennifer Murray, Executive Director of Filter Photo. Work will include how to hang work on the wall, typical installation processes, tools, and basic art handling.

Topics will include:

Typical gallery height standards

Hanging recommendations for wire, D-rings, cleats, and Phototex

When to use a drill vs. hammer

How to measure out a wall with multiple artworks

Some samples will be provided but Participants are encouraged to bring a piece of their own work to install!

COST: $15 General Admission ($10 Student/Recent Grad)
