@ Hairpin Arts Center
2810 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60618
Opening Saturday, February 29th, from 5PM - 7PM
Join Hairpin Arts Center and Tristine Walker Imagery Saturday February 29th in a unique photography workshop! Tristine Walker Imagery is spearheaded by T. Walker a Chicago native and Creative professional that specializes in portraits, events, and creative imagery.
Intro to Light Painting is a 2 hour mini workshop that will explore what exactly is “Light Painting” and how to use a long exposure along with unconventional lighting tools such as; glows sticks, flashlights and high tech wands for image creation. This is a technique used widely and much loved by T.Walker. Each participant will have a chance to orchestrate their own image using the ideas talked about in the workshop and basic light painting tools provided.
Creative Community is a series of classes and workshops that explore creativity, community building, and self care. CC takes the lens that we are all Life Artists: simply by being human we are inherently creative creatures whose palette is the choices we make, and whose Life is our greatest work of Art. These classes and workshops will give the community opportunities to learn new skills, create healthy practices, and explore our creativity. Classes are taught by members of the community, artists, and organizations who have skills to share – some are formally trained, others are self-taught in their field.
**Equipment needed; DSLR or camera that has “bulb” option for extended exposures, tripod. Basic knowledge of shutter speed and exposure recommended.
