MFA candidates at the School of Art and Design at UIC present artwork in a variety of media reflecting on contemporary questions of Time, Space, and Narrative. This exhibition is the product an interdisciplinary seminar of the same name. Over the course of the semester 22 artists wrestled with questions of narrative, time and space through readings, screenings and discussions on physics, anthropology, sociology, literary criticism and art theory.
Artists from many disciplines share their ideas of new and coming cultural landscapes. Aspect Ratio presents work by Melina Ausikaitis, Joe Baldwin, Olivia Ciummo, Kelli Evans, Allyson Gibbs, Michael Gibisser, Rebecca Grady, Nicolas Harvey, Sarah Higgins, Audra Hubbell, Jillian Lindner, Christopher Margelis, Christopher Meerdo, Paul Nelson, Julio Rubio Obelleiro, Joseph Pankowski, Brittany Ransom, Min Song, Perrin Stamatis, Stephanie Tisza, Jeremy Tubbs and Pei Chi Yang.
