pizza. patience. and all things love. A Solo Exhibition | A collection of crowd-sourced love definitions translated into visual arts
What is love? Coligan, a Chicago-based artist transforms over 500 responses from ages 6 to 83 into a special installation opening Friday, February 7th, from 7-11pm.
Today’s love landscape is vast. The word “love” holds meaning for all of us in vastly differing ways, as we all have a different lens through which we’ve experienced life. The one truth I’ve unearthed thus far—is that there are no wrong answers to this question!
So, what is love to you? There is still time to be part of the movement…share your own thoughts on ‘What is love’ here: http://bit.ly/what-is-love-lcd
MUSICAL GUESTS: Chicago’s own Peter Joly Music & Jon Williams
FOOD + DRINKS + ART + TUNES = LOVE

All who love are welcome

Seeking out the stories of those in her community, and
bringing a visual voice to their emotions, Coligan hopes to
facilitate the conversation around the importance of
diversity, tolerance and mutual respect.
Michigan-raised Coligan currently lives in Chicago with her three sons where her work is on permanent display at Agave Studio. She spends her days strategizing as a Design Director in the Loop, and in her spare time (ha!) she composes and performs original music, creates art inspired by those around her, and is getting involved with local government to continue organizing and advocacy projects in order to help make real differences in people’s lives.
