This bookbinding workshop is perfect for those who are tactile, love to write, want to learn a new artform, or want to gift beautiful handmade books to themselves or others!
In this workshop Lizzie Berry will walk through the process of making a hard cover, coptic stitch book. You’ll prep your covers, choose the decorative paper, fold and tear paper for the pages, and learn how to bind a book together with wax and thread.
Lizzie has 6+ years of bookmaking experience and started the book making business, Berry Bookbinding, where she crafts and sells hard cover, paper, and leather books. She chose the coptic stitch for this workshop because it’s a great introduction to bookbinding, fun, and meditative!
All materials to create your book (thread, needles, book board, decorative paper, paper for the pages, glue, etc.) are included in the workshop price. Even better, choose the deluxe option and get a beautiful bag from The Martin to take your lovely books home!
