@ Grassroots Chicago
1430 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60642
Opening Saturday, December 7th, from 5PM - 10PM
Here, there, near, and far all become one this present moment of overlapping seasons and various time zones via the eyes of Ramón Norwood aka Ramon Etc. The itinerant music producer/performer, most commonly known as Radius, debuts his exhibition “Nomadic Reflections” with digital and analog photography from 2011-2019 at Grassroots Chicago on December 7th. The opening event will feature live-visuals, music, and original art by Radius Etc
In addition to showcasing his beloved home city of Chicago, this collection embodies works from self arranged music tours, international job hunts, journeys to obtain peace of mind and inner-soul therapy, and even pursuits to find new places to call home. Cities documented include; Rotterdam, New York, Los Angeles, Barcelona and Addis Ababa to name a few.
“All heavy inspiring moments captured in time; places and spaces within my nomadic journey to fulfill purpose. Nothing has been easy, yet the experiences and reflections, have been beyond stellar…” – Ramon Etc
Ramón has published two photography books: Improvisational Aesthetics in Black and White, and Improvisational Aesthetics In Color: Beyond The Skies. Both were published in 2018, with a third on the way, based on his birthday pilgrimage to Ethiopia. Ramón released his most recent Radius digital solo release; “Embrace The Circle”, this past August on his label; EtcRecords (Etcrecords.com).
