QUEERKINDLMARKT
@ Gerber/Hart Library and Archives
6500 N Clark St 2nd Fl, Chicago, IL 60626
Opening Saturday, December 6th, from 10AM - 4PM
Gerber/Hart is excited to announce the return of QUEERKINDLMARKT! This will be a combination booksale along with a queer artist market featuring local artists and makers!
Stop by 6500 N Clark Street on Saturday, December 6th, from 10 AM – 4 PM, to get your holiday shopping done, support local queers, and find your next LGBTQ+ read!
Suggested $5 donation at the door to support Gerber/Hart! This donation will also enter you in a raffle for special prizes from our artists.
This booksale will be almost entirely used LGBTQ+ books. However, we will have some “cream of the crop” straight books for sale as well. Our 18+ customers will also be able to shop for erotica and visit 18+ vendors.
PLUS stop by the library for a special pop-up photo booth from PINK SAPPHO! Stop by during the event to take free, festive portraits together!
Accessibility: This event will take place on the second floor of 6500 N Clark Street. There are stairs just inside the entrance (by the Walgreens) as well as an elevator (down the hall, past the Howard Brown front desk).
Parking – if the Gerber/Hart parking spaces in the adjacent lot are full, please plan to park on the street. Howard Brown Health Center will be open during the market and parking spaces in the lot need to be reserved for patients. Ample street parking is available as well as public transportation.
Join us on December 6th to Make the Yuletide Gay!

BONDED – BONDED by Tori are unique staple jewelry pieces that are more than just jewelry to wear, but rather an experience and guidance for you to create your own world. Chicago Queer Creations (18+ Vendor) – I will have handmade collage wall art, greeting cards, and ceramics!!
Christopher Williams – Handmade ceramic objects, with funky images and colorful glazes.

Em Assarsson – I sell a variety of handmade ceramics, from sculptural and decorative with glazes, to functional. I make all of my own glazes and specialize in crystalline glaze wall hangings.

Kirin Kane – Kirin Kane creates decorative and wearable art using ceramics, metalworking, and printmaking. Wares available include cups, mugs, bowls, mini sculptures, relief prints, and sterling silver rings, all handmade in Chicago, IL.

Pink Sappho – Stop by the library for free photos from a photo booth run by Pink Sappho! Pink Sappho is a sapphic social club that curates events around three core pillars: authentic connection, wellness, and education. Each event touches on at least one of these pillars, with the goal of offering our community new ways to build and sustain relationships with one another. Our Ambrosia photobooth began as an interactive activity to foster connection in our own space, but over time it has grown into a service we now offer to others who wish to do the same.
