This family-friendly annual event is a great place to start your holiday shopping with special unique gifts, created by local artists and artisans. Perhaps you will even find gifts for you!
The artists who make up 16th Street Studios work in many media like drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, writing, filmmaking, puppet making and more. Several artists are award winning regionally, nationally and even internationally. Each studio is a unique reflection of the artists passion and style. And you won’t want to miss the state of the art figure drawing studio “Draw Joseph” and the Spirit of Racine Museum. Be inspired: steep in beauty and history with us.
Free parking is available on the street and in the east and west lots. Enter the building on 16th Street at either of its two entrances, identified by canopies carrying the street address numbers, 1405 and 1515.
The Racine Arts and Business Center is the oldest business incubator in the United States. Its Cream City brick building was constructed around 1865. In 1995, Artists began occupying space in studios that boast exposed brick and beams, along with large windows. In addition, the Center also offers spaces for storage, offices, manufacturing and assembly.
Lunch will be available for purchase from Chit Chaat in the old Chez Bob’s space on the second floor. Thanks again and I hope to see you all there!
