Five trans poets read on Trans Day of Remembrance. Featuring Chicago poets Temperance Aghamohammadi (Battalion Shaped Girl), River Coello (HAMPI), and féi iká shumarí (hood criatura) alongside visiting poets jzl jmz (Local Woman) and Rose Zinnia (Togethering).
This event is part of the Poetry Foundation’s fall 2025 season, Facing Life. The event title is a quote from Coello’s book.

The performance space is ADA-compliant and wheelchair-accessible.
