The Chicago Sukkah Design Festival pairs community organizations in North Lawndale with architectural designers to design and construct sukkahs, small outdoor pavilions built for the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. It’s a celebration of cultural heritage among the Jewish community who lived in North Lawndale historically, the predominantly Black community that resides there today, and the broader Chicago community. Join us as we partner with the Festival for an immersive sukkah tour featuring performances from Chicago-area poets and musicians.
