Join us in the Hokin Gallery on Thursday, Oct 9th, from 5:00-7:00 pm to celebrate the opening exhibition: 135 Years in Art & Objects.
135 Years in Art and Objects celebrates the 135th anniversary of Columbia College Chicago with a presentation of objects that represent the history, culture and values of the college, over its’ 135 years of operation as a destination for innovators. The exhibit features photographs, catalogs, posters, videos and other unique objects carefully selected from the College Archives & Special Collections by students of The History of Chicago courses, taught by Erin McCarthy, Ph.D. In addition to objects selected from the archives, 135 Years in Art and Objects features photographs captured by current students expressing their perspective of what Columbia looks like today as we shape our future.
135 Years in Art and Objects is presented by Student Spaces for Art and Collaboration with College Archives & Special Collections in collaboration with the School of Communication and Culture.
