Toy de Jour is proud to open ‘Paging Mr. Herman…’, a group art show inspired by Pee-wee Herman / Paul Reubens. A free, all-ages gallery that opens Friday, September 19th at 7pm at their Logan Square location:

The show will feature all new artwork by local, and not-so local artists, all based on various aspects of Pee-wee Herman from the movies, to the live show, and of course, the ‘Pee-wee’s Playhouse’ television show.
“We’ve tried our best to put on shows lately that are based on people/themes/brands that we love, and this one is no exception. But the best part of this show in particular is how many of the artists have messaged us while working on their pieces and said that it’s been a very heartwarming experience while working on their art, or that it’s sparked something in them that they haven’t felt creatively in some time.” exclaims the husband-half of Toy de Jour, Sam Wells.
The show opens to the public on Friday the 12th, and all artwork will be available for sale during the gallery opening. There are many one-of-a-kind pieces that once they sell, they’re gone for good. But there’s also plenty of pieces that are available as either multiple prints, shirts, stickers, or even enamel pins for those not looking to add a one-off piece to their collection.
